A pastor was killed and 3 parishioners were injured in an armed attack at Eagles Christian Center in Newlands, Johannesburg on Friday evening, police said.

The attack was broadcast live on social networks. According to a witness, six armed men broke into the church and opened fire. The attackers appeared to be drunk.

On the same day, in Kathrada Park, near Sophiatown, Johannesburg, there was also a shooting in a pub that left 3 people dead.

Police are currently investigating and arresting the perpetrators in the above shootings
