Simultaneous back to school awareness campaigns were conducted by the Leboeng SAPS

LEBOENG - Simultaneous back to school Safer Schools awareness campaigns were conducted by the Leboeng SAPS on Wednesday, 11 January 2023 led by the Station Commander Captain Mashile in partnership with the Community Policing Forum (CPF) and Youth Desk members.

Captain Mashile visited Morwakgwadi Primary and Ntabane High schools in Kgautswana village outside Ohrigstad and managed to highlight the following important matters:

Theft

Bullying

Peer pressure

Dangers of drug and substance abuse

Carrying of dangerous weapons

Possession of cellphones at the learning environment

Secondly, Detective Commander Warrant Officer Masuku made a presentation at S.M Nkoana and Makopung Primary schools under Leboeng precinct.

Learners and Educators were addressed at the assembly point about the following issues:

Bullying

Gambling

Drug abuse

Sexual offences

Gender-based violence (GBV)

Carrying of dangerous weapons

The school Principal's applauded the efforts made by the police in uprooting criminal elements at grassroots level and further encouraged continuous visits to caution the learners about crime.
