Chef Mentor Africa Sierra Leone is set to attract more tourists to Sierra Leone by participating in the upcoming Chef Convention in Plateau State, Nigeria. Scheduled to commence from 28th September to 4th October 2024, this event offers a significant opportunity for Sierra Leone to showcase its unique and rich culinary heritage, which includes a fusion of local ingredients and traditional cooking methods, to an international audience.

By participating in this event, the organization, with its wealth of culinary expertise, aims to draw the attention of tourists from across Africa and beyond to Sierra Leone’s unique local cuisine.
In preparation for the event, Chef Mentor Africa Sierra Leone representatives recently met with officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Cultur
al Affairs to seek their crucial support for their participation. During the meeting, Mr. Francis Alieu Kamara, popularly known as Chef Francis and the coordinator of Chef Mentor Africa Sierra Leone, highlighted the potential benefits for the Ministry, such as increased tourism revenue and global recognition. He expressed confidence in the Ministry’s commitment to promoting tourism, stating, “I believe in the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs and the Minister’s campaign to boost tourism. With the Ministry’s support, we will make Sierra Leone proud.”
Chef Mentor Africa Sierra Leone’s participation in the Nigerian convention is expected to significantly impact the lives of young aspiring chefs in Sierra Leone.
