Serious and violent crime suspects brought to book in Heidelberg

Detectives deployed to investigate serious and violent crimes brought two suspects to book who are scheduled to appear in the Heidelberg Magistrates’ court on Monday, 15 November 2021 following their arrest on two unrelated murders.

 

On Saturday, 13 November 2021 at about 00:20 police responded to a scene at Dollar Square, Heidelberg. Upon arrival they found a 37-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest. He was later declared dead by paramedics on scene.

 

Police arrested a 30-year-old woman in the vicinity. She is facing a charge of murder.

 

In an unrelated incident, police arrested a 18-year-old suspect on a murder charge following the death of a 31 year old woman who succumbed to her injuries on a farm near Heidelberg on Tuesday, 09 November 2021 at about 04:30.

 

Investigation into this matter indicates that the women had an altercation when the victim was stabbed. The victim sustained stab wounds to the head and neck. Medical personnel on scene later declared the victim dead.

 

Both suspects remains in custody until their respective court appearances tomorrow.
