The SAPS Waterberg District members including SAPS Bela Bela had today jointly with community policing forums launched 16 Days of Activism for no Violence Against Women and Children coupled with drug and substance abuse campaign.
Department of Transport and Community Safety, Justice, Social Development, Correctional Services, Bela-Bela municipal officials led by Honourable Mayor Seleka formed part of the campaign.
The campaign was spearheaded by Bela-Bela Station Commander Colonel Phetla. The event kick started at Multipurpose Community Centre where the purpose of the event was communicated. Pamphlets containing different safety tips were distributed to residents during the door to door campaign.
After the campaign, members converged for a feedback. The different stakeholders were assigned to attend and address challenges that were met during the campaign.
