SAPS Vuwani bids farewell to retiring Detective

VUWANI – The South African Police Service in Vuwani, held a farewell celebration of the retiring Detective Warrant Officer Ntsemeni Donald Mamphiswana who served the service for 33 years at Levubu Lodge, on Friday 18 February 2022.

The event was honoured by Station Commander of SAPS Vuwani, Colonel Ntuwiseni David Nemudzivhadi, Vuwani Detective Branch Commander Lieutenant Colonel Albert Netshaulu, SAPS Vhembe District Detective Coordinator Lieutanant Colonel Mukondeleli Muenda, Acting Station Commander of SAPS Levubu Captain Mbulaheni Jonathan Mashau, the spouse and children of the retiring Detective Warrant Officer Mamphiswana.

The Station Commander of Vuwani, Detective Brand Commander and Vhembe District Detective Coordinator congratulated the retiring Detective Warrant Officer Mamphiswana for his dedication and loyalty in the SAPS since he has joined the organisation in 1989.

In his response, Warrant Officer Mamphiswana who applied his skills at various investigating teams within the SAPS, advised young police officials to understand their responsibilities and never compromise their jobs for anything. He also said “discipline is highly practiced in the service and that’s one of the tools that kept him thus far. He further highlighted the issue of corruption that most cops had experienced, which he said Police officials should avoid it because you will get arrested, lose your job and your values within the community. He also thanked everyone present and his family for supporting him all the years until to date.”

He concluded by saying, “God is the only way to keep us safe, all the times and I believe he is the main reason I’m still standing alive and healthy at 60 years old.”
