The Provincial SAPS Tracking Team followed up on information about a wanted suspect in Kathu. On 24 August 2021 at about 10am the team pounced on the house breaking and theft suspect in the Siyabuswa informal settlement, Kathu.
The police could possibly link the 18-year-old male suspect to several other burglaries in the Wrenchville and Kathu areas. The suspect should be appearing in the Kathu Magistrates Court soon.
The SAPS Management commended the Tracking Team for their assertive response and the community for the assistance that led to this good arrest.
