SAPS Olifantshoek launch manhunt for suspects following a farm murder

KIMBERLEY - The Olifantshoek SAPS are investigating a case of murder after an elderly female farm owner was discovered deceased on their farm approximately 15km outside of Olifantshoek on the N14 road.

Preliminary reports indicate that the discovery was made by a neighbour on Tuesday, 16 August 2022 at about 09:00 and the deceased’s body was discovered inside the house with her hands tied.

The elderly male owner was found in the veld on his farm where he managed to untie himself.

The black GWM bakkie of the owner was found abandoned approximately 2km from the farm with the help of the community and a local security company. The elderly male victim received medical treatment.

Police are on the lookout for two male suspects who allegedly fled with a cellphone of the victim and firearms from the safe.

The John Taolo Gaetsewe Acting District Commander, Brig Johnny Besnaar has activated all resources to expedite the apprehension and arrest of the suspects.
