SAPS Ngangelizwe detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a murder suspect.

It is alleged that on 1 September 2021 at about 11:00 children were playing next to Mchathu Bridge at Mkhumashe Street waterfall when they noticed the body of a deceased person. They called the elders who reported the matter to the police. The deceased was a young female, 16 years old. She was wrapped in a blanket and tied with electric cable and she had burn marks to the head.

It is further alleged that the deceased went missing last week Thursday and her grandmother reported to her uncle.

On Friday, 3 September 2021 she was identified by her uncle as Tandiswa Molefe of Zitatele loc Gxulu AA Libode.

The circumstances surrounding the murder is under investigation.
