WESTERN CAPE - Members attached to Steenberg SAPS Crime Prevention Unit arrested a 32-year-old male for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

The members were busy with patrols to combat gang violence and while patrolling received information about a suspect with an unlicensed firearm. The suspect was arrested and found in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Once charged the suspect will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates court.
