GAUTENG – On Wednesday, 22 September 2021 members of SAPS Mamelodi East arrested a suspect (30) for possession of drugs and unlicensed firearm with ammunition.
While out on a routine crime prevention patrol, the SAPS members received information about suspicious activity in the area and proceeded to the identified location.
The SAPS members conducted a search and seized drugs, suspected to be Nyaope with an estimated value of R2000. Police also seized an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. The firearm will be subjected to ballistic testing to establish if it may be linked to other crimes committed.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Mamelodi Magistrate’s Court soon.
