Police are continuing their efforts to address the proliferation of crimes against women, children and vulnerable persons.

Members of SAPS Johannesburg Central conducted a gender-based violence (GBV) awareness campaign at Wanderers taxi rank on Friday, 22 April 2022.

The SAPS members in collaboration with representatives of the Department of Social Development, EMS and various other stakeholders engaged with community members on GBV-related matters.

Community members were encouraged to speak out and to report abuse to their nearest police station.
