SAPS in the Waterberg District join forces in celebrating Heritage Day

LEPHALALE – The SAPS in Lephalale Zone 3 members hosted a Heritage Day celebration at Ga-Seleka community hall under Witpoort policing area on Saturday 24 September 2022.

The keynote address, was rendered by Captain Semenya-Fambe, the Zone 3 Women’s Network Champion. Women, children and men were addressed about gender-based violence and domestic violence.

The Back to God Community empowerment is a movement consisting of different churches within the 42 villages falling under Seleka and Shongoane. They come together quarterly to empower one another.

Other speakers included the cancer survivor Ms Khumalo who encouraged women to go for check-ups regularly and consult with medical professionals if they suspect anything relating to cancer. Movement advocating against abuse and violence representative, Mrs Sylvia Sebina –Mukwevho, also shared her experience of being in an abusive marriage where she was physically, emotionally, verbally, economically and sexually abused by her husband.

How to become police informer and work with the SAPS in the fight against crime and
