On Monday, 25 October 2021, the management of Elandskraal police station issued certificates of appreciation to the community members who contributed positively in the fight against crime in the Elandskraal policing precinct.

 

The event was held at Elandskraal police station and was supported by Captain Nemavhola from the Provincial Marketing and Exhibition, Sergeant Kobe from SAPS Marble Hall, Warrant Officer Malusi from SAPS Naboomspruit and communication officer of SAPS Marble Hall Sergeant Mmuroa, Mrs Molatudi ward councilor from Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality, AVBOB mutual society, learners and teachers from the local schools.

 

*Warrant Officer Aphane outlined the purpose of the event as to honour community members for their dedication in the fight and prevention of crime and to bid farewell to the Vispol commander of Elandskraal, Warrant Officer Malusi.

 

* The guest speaker Miss Khensani Maluleka, encouraged the learners to listen and maintain a good relationship with their parents and teachers. She condemned teenage pregnancy and urged learners to refrain from going to the taverns.

 

*The ward councillor Mrs Molatudi, thanked Sergeant Bapela for his commitment in fighting crime in schools. She also thanked the management of Elandskraal police station for working hard in strengthening good relationship with the communities.

 

* Elandskraal CPF chairperson Mrs Malete, thanked Warrant officer Malusi for working with them in a decent manner. She described Warrant Malusi as a person of good heart, who was always available to assist the community. She wished him well and encouraged him to continue with the good work.

 

* The station commander of Elandskraal Captain Mabusela, warned the learners to refrain from criminal activities such as theft, assault and illegal gambling. The audience was further informed about the negative impact of a criminal record that consequently, will prevent them from being employed in the SAPS or any other government department.

 

As the event unfolded, Warrant Officer Malusi was showered with gifts by his former colleagues and the attendees.

 

Captain Mabusela, Warrant Officer Lebelo,Warrant Officer Aphane, Sergeant Bapelaband councilor Molatudi issued the certificates to the well deserving recipients being; CPF, Y-COP and Junior Station Management.
