SAPS Admin Clerk arrested for corruption

GAUTENG – The police in Gauteng Province remain resolute in rooting out corruption within the Service. This comes after a 44-year-old admin clerk stationed at SAPS Lenasia South was arrested for corruption last week.

It is alleged that between October and November 2021 the suspect stole a docket and solicited money for the disappearance of a case docket. He unknowingly sold the docket to an undercover agent. Through continuous investigations, a warrant of arrest was issued for the suspect and he has since been arrested and appeared before Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court on a charge of fraud.
