GIYANI - The Police conducted a Safer Schools awareness campaign at Famanda High School today.
The campaign was led by Social Crime Prevention Coordinator, Sergeant Mashaba V, accompanied by Young Civilians on Patrol Hlungwani DB and Limpopo Men for Change Public relation officer Constable Ridgewell Rikhotso, partnered with Department of Road Transport and Community Safety represented by Mr Ngobeni and Mr Mabasa.
Learners were educated about various topics affecting the youth:
• Bullying
• Dangerous weapons
• Substance abuse
• Public Violence
• Rape
• Theft
• Robberies
The team proceeded to Shikhumba Village and assisted the community members with certifying of documents.
The contact numbers of District Commissioner, Station Commander, Vispol Commander and Community Services Centre were shared among the community members.
