The Kimberley Regional court handed down a 15 year direct imprisonment for one count of murder, 10 years each for the two counts of rape and 3 years for one count of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm to 29-year-old, Wayne Davids on Thursday ,

23 February 2023.

All sentences will run concurrently.

The accused was on trial for assault, murder and two (2) rape cases involving different victims from September 2019 till July 2020.

The court heared that all of his victims feared him preventing them from immediately registering cases against him until they were informed of his incarceration on another case.

The meticulous police investigation led to the successful prosecution of the accused.

The Galeshewe FCS Unit Commander, Lt Colonel Marli Strydom commended and applauded Detective Sergeant Siphiwe Mdunge for the tireless effort that ensured perpetrators of GBVF are brought to book.
