Roodepan detectives traced and arrested 24 wanted suspects for property related and contact crimes

The Roodepan Police Station detectives led by Captain Deon Rheeder, embarked on a wanted suspects tracing operation on Thursday, 03 October 2024 with the focus on property related and contact crimes.

Twenty-four (24) suspects, who have been on the run from the police for assault GBH, assault common, theft, housebreaking and theft and theft out of motor vehicle, robbery and malicious damage to property were arrested.

All suspects were arrested at their respective residences in Roodepan and surrounding areas and will appear in the Kimberley Magistrates Court soon.

Tracing operations under the auspices of Operation Shanela will continue unabated.

The police are encouraging the public to rate the police efforts in fighting crime by participating in the “RATE OUR SERVICE” online survey to assist the police in improving services.
