FREE STATE – On Saturday 12 February 2022 Welkom Public Order Police members deployed in the Eastern Free State were patrolling in Manyatseng near Ladybrand and received a tip off about a suspect who was dealing in dagga. Suspect’s house was observed from a distance and members saw young suspicious men coming in and out from the particular house and exchanging unknown substance inside the yard.

Later the scene was searched whereby a forty four year old suspect was arrested for being in possession of dagga and cash was confiscated.

In another incident the same members arrested three suspects aged nineteen to thirty seven years old in Senekal for possession of dagga and two television sets with scratched off serial numbers which were hidden inside their house.

Arrested suspects will appear respectively before the Ladybrand and Senekal magistrate courts soon charged with dealing in drugs and possession of suspected stolen property.
