Religuous denominations pledge to support the SAPS in the fight against crime

LULEKANI - The South African Police Service in Lulekani represented by the Communication Officer and Mopani District Men For Change Chairperson, Sergeant Ntsako Reoh Mabunda had on Sunday, 14 August 2022 ensured that partnership policing is still in line and well-coordinated within the policing precinct during a prayer sermon conducted at both Wesselian and Christ Flock Bible churches(CFBC).

The two churches are based in Matiko-Xikaya Settlement under the leadership of Pastor R.A Ndouvhada and Reverend MC Shipalani respectively. The campaign was also attended by members of SAPS Lulekani including Women's Network, CPF and VEP.

Sergeant Mabunda sensitised the congregation about sexual offences, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Children's Rights, Domestic Violence (DV), Community Policing, Partnership Policing and illegal mining.

During the programme, contact details of the management of SAPS Lulekani, Community Service Centre (CSC) and safety tips to prevent burglary and theft were shared with the congregation.

Through the initiative and commitment of Men for Change and Women's Network, partnership policing is strengthened across Lulekani.
