VIRGINIA - The Police are requesting the public to help in tracing of relatives of the deceased man who was fatally shot in Bloekom farm on Wednesday, 11 January 2023.

According to the farm owner, he noticed that there was an intruder in his yard and allegedly informed the Police and his brother who resides in the neighbouring farm.

His brother arrived and were both armed. They started looking for the intruder. They alleges that when they finally found him a struggle between then ensued and an intruder was fatally injured.

Emergency Service personnel were summoned to a scene and an intruder was certified dead on the scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed that an intruder was a former employee at the same farm by the name of Samuel Amosi who is a Malawian national.
