WELKOM – The Police in Welkom are asking for public assistance to help locate the relatives of an unknown woman between the ages of 40 and 50 years old who was involved in an accident that claimed her life on Saturday, 09 April 2022, at about 20:47, near Intermine in Jan Hofmeyer road Welkom.

Two motor vehicles were involved in this accident, a blue Toyota Corolla with four occupants and a green Jetta 4 Volkswagen. The accident left three women dead and two men with serious injuries.

Two of the deceased women were identified by their relatives however, the unidentified body of a woman is still at Bongani hospital morgue and no one came forward for identification purposes. The investigation team conducted a thorough investigation to trace her relatives however, with no success.
