INDWE – A 20-year-old alleged rape suspect was arrested during the early hours of Sunday morning 14 November 2021 in Indwe.
It is alleged that the 81-year-old woman was sleeping alone when she heard someone entering her room. The suspect overpowered the victim and allegedly raped her. The elderly woman managed to shout for assistance and family members immediately came to her aid.
Police were summoned and the suspect was arrested and will appear before Indwe magistrate court on Monday 15 November 2021.
