Provincial commissioner welcomes 58 newly appointed Constables to the province

The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has today on Tuesday 27 September 2022, welcomed 58 newly appointed Police Constables to the Province, comprising 21 Females and 37 Male Officers. The Provincial Commissioner was joined by the Deputy Provincial Commissioner responsible for Corporate Support Major General Christine Morakaladi and the Provincial Head of Human Resource Management and Development Brigadier Sigage.

The 58 constables have just completed their basic training at different colleges across the country and took part in the passing out parade that was held on Friday 23 September 2022 in different SAPS academies. They will be posted in different stations across the Province such as Dennilton, Giyani, Hoedspuit, June-Furse, Maake, Mahwelereng, Mankweng, Nebo, Seshego, Thohoyandou, Vhulaudzi and Westernburg policing precincts.

The fully fledged constables hold different qualifications in fields of Criminology and Psychology, Policing, Law, Criminal Justice, and Forensic science and Technology.

Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe addressed the members in a sitting at the Provincial head office boardroom where she urged them to keep on studying and getting more qualifications that will sharpen their brains and spoke at length on a variety of issues including corruption, taking of bribes and engaging in activities that will make communities loose trust in the Police. She further adviced the members to never allow their qualifications to blind them from serving their community with pride and respect.

“Be the police officers that you want to see on the streets, wear your batch and uniform properly as they represent this country and the organization and go serve your community with pride” said Lieutenant General Hadebe.

” look after the resources that you will be using at the stations and practice what you have learnt from the college and the knowledge you have acquired from your qualifications, as this will take you to greatness within the organization” concludes the General.

In conclusion, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe urged the members to remain committed to their course as police officers and not be destructed by wrong elements, whether within the service or outside.
