NELSPRUIT - The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela relieved after two young women, Nondumiso Zenani, 25 and Nolwazi Hlabane aged 26 were found alive after they were allegedly kidnapped on 05 June 2022 in Barberton and Thekwane South near Kanyamazane respectively.
According to the information, the first victim, Nondumiso Zenani was kidnapped while hitchhiking on the R40 in Barberton as she wanted to make her way home to Carolina. She apparently called a relative on the day and informed her that she had been kidnapped and the relative in turn reported the matter to the police.
The suspects then proceeded to Thekwane near Kanyamazane an apparently snatched second victim, Nolwazi Hlabane as she was entering her place of residence. This matter too was reported to the police where cases of kidnapping were opened.

The Provincial Commissioner, has expressed that she feels relieved that the two women were found alive as others had suffered a tragic fate. She also assured that the suspects will be arrested soon as a strong team of investigators is currently working around the clock to ensure that they are apprehended.
