This afternoon, the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi; Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Detectives, Major General Mgobhozi and Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Visible Policing, Major General Makhoba congratulated newly promoted officers in the province at the Chatsworth Academy.
A total of 64 police officers were promoted to the ranks of Warrant Officer, Captain, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel and Brigadier effective from 1 October 2021.
In his address, the Provincial Commissioner reminded police officers of our commitment to protect and serve the inhabitants of the province and the various legislative directives that gives us a mandate to conduct our duties effectively.
Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi appealed to the newly promoted officers to get better acquainted with all legislation and official directives governing the SAPS so that they always conduct themselves within the parameters of the law.
“We need police officers who have courage, integrity, loyalty and honesty in the SAPS. Those who do not have these values have no place in this organisation,” he said.
