POTCHEFSTROOM - The Provincial Commissioner of North West, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena condemns recirculation of a video on various social media platforms.

The said video which surfaced almost a month ago, an unknown male can be seen beheading a naked woman while two other bodies are laying in a grave. A few days ago, this old video was recirculated with text suggesting that the incident occurred in Vryburg in the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District. We would like to indicate that no such incident was reported in Vryburg or in the province.

Members of the community are once more urged to use social media responsibly and to refrain from sharing unverified information as that creates unnecessary fear amongst our communities.
