Stutterheim:President Ramaphosa is set to visit the Redlands Dairy Farm in Stutterheim, Eastern Cape, on Thursday, 8 October 2026. According to South African Government News Agency, the visit aims to allow the Government to review the operations of this agricultural enterprise, which receives support from the Land Bank. Redlands Dairy Farm, located in the Amahlathi Local Municipality, Amathole District, is a black-owned and youth-owned commercial farming operation. It has benefitted from the Blended Finance Scheme (BFS), a collaboration between the Land Bank and the Department of Agriculture. The President will gain first-hand exposure to the developmental impact of the BFS by engaging with the beneficiary farmer and assessing the farm's role in promoting inclusive agricultural development, job creation, and rural economic growth. The Land Bank, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, manages several funding instruments like the Blended Finance Scheme, Agri-BEE Fund, and Agro-Energy Fund to s upport commercial and emerging farmers. In the last financial year, the Land Bank disbursed over R1.7 billion, including about R700 million through the Blended Finance Scheme, aiding commercial and emerging farmers. During his visit, the President will engage in discussions on the operations of Redlands Dairy Farm, the impact of Land Bank's financial support, and the farm's contributions to job creation, rural development, and broader participation in the commercial agricultural sector.
