President Cyril Ramaphosa will, on Friday, 18 November, at 9h00, address a formal sitting of the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) at Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre in KwaZulu-Natal.
The address concludes the week-long NCOP Taking Parliament to the People (TPTTP) programme currently underway at Ugu District Municipality.
The TPTTP programme, held under the theme “Working together to ensure faster improvement in the delivery of services to communities”, is a parliamentary flagship programme aimed at facilitating public participation in Parliament’s processes.
TPTTP enables the NCOP to exercise its constitutional obligation of overseeing government programmes and policies.
The programme brings together all three spheres of government under one roof to account to the electorate for their service delivery promises.
