WESTERN CAPE – As part of our focus to rid our communities of the illegal possession of firearms, landed three adult males behind bars for the possession of an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and drugs in Mosselbank Street, Bonnie Brae, Kraaifontein yesterday, 13 February 2022. Members of Kraaifontein police were busy with crime prevention duties when they searched the suspects who were found in possession of a 9mm pistol, ammunition and twelve mandrax tablets.

Once charged the suspects will make a court appearance in Blue Downs Magistrates court.

In an unrelated matter members of Paarl East police executed a search warrant in Avon Street, Smartie Town, Paarl East yesterday, 13 February 2022 and arrested an adult female and a 59-year-old male for the possession of an homemade zip gun. While the members were searching the house they found the zip gun in the house.

Once charged the suspects will make a court appearance in Paarl Magistrates court.
