Police seek next of kin of two accident victims

GQEBERHA – SAPS Mount Road detectives are urgently trying to trace the next of kin of two males that died in separate accidents during December 2021 and January 2022 respectively.

In the first incident, it is alleged that on 04 December 2021 at about 20:10, an unknown male was fatally wounded on the N2 freeway near Deal Party (Summerstrand bound). According to police information, the driver of a silver Volvo heard a noise and on stopping realised that a person had been knocked. The deceased is between the ages of 30-35 years old and was dressed in a blue overall jacket, blue jeans and black takkies. He sustained severe head injuries.

In the second accident, on 22 January 2022 at about 08:00, an accident occurred, also on the N2 Freeway near Deal Party (towards John Tallant) where an unknown male sustained fatal injuries after been hit by a vehicle. It is alleged that the pedestrian ran across the road. The deceased is approximately 30-35 years old and was wearing a brown T-shirt, a black jersey and cargo pants.

In both incidents, culpable homicide cases are under investigation.

D/Sgt Velile Salman of SAPS Mount Road detectives are trying to trace the next of kin of the two deceased males or if anyone may know of any person who may have been missing for a while to contact D/Sgt Salman on 041 394 6132 or 068 203 5456 or the nearest police station.
