Police seek assistance in locating relatives of little girl

DURBAN – Bhekithemba police are urgently looking for the family of a little girl following the discovery of her body on 12 April 2022 at 13:00. The request follows the location of the body of a girl believed to be about five years found on a riverbank at Umlazi River along Mangosuthu Highway.

Police officers believe that the victim may have drowned in Chatsworth or Welbedacht during the recent floods. She was wearing strings around her waist and one on the hand. Police at Bhekithemba SAPS are investigating an inquest docket.

We are appealing to the members of the public to assist police in finding her relatives.
