NELSPRUIT - Police in Bushbuckridge are looking the family of a man whose remains were found in the bushes on 15 May 2022. The man is estimated to be +/- 35 years old.
According to the report, the remains were discovered by members of the community who alerted the police at Bushbuckridge. Upon arrival at the scene, police made conducted a preliminary investigation and discovered that the man was tied to the tree with wires.
The man had been wearing black jeans (trouser) and a murder case was opened. Members immediately commenced with their investigation to trace and arrest the perpetrators. Since the discovery was made, no one has come forth to identify the man hence the plea by police for anyone with information that may assist in identifying him to contact Detective Warrant Officer Vincent Manaiwa 078 581 6951 or call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. Alternatively members of the community can send information via MySAPS App. All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous.
Meanwhile the Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela indicated that the breakthrough can be swiftly made when those who have got information can come forth. "We believe that solving crime is equally in the shoulders of both the police as well as members of the public who each plays an important role. We are adamant that a breakthrough is something that is within our reach" said the General.
