Police launch a search for ATM bombers at Levubu

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo Major General Samuel Manala has ordered police to use the available resources to track down a group of unknown suspects who bombed two ATMs at one of the shops at Levubu in the early hours of Thursday, 03 October 2024.

According to information, the security personnel on duty were surprised by an explosion at the markets. Further approach by security towards the direction of the scene were greeted by gunshot sounds. The security personnel then activated the police for backup.

The police immediately rushed to the scene and upon their arrival, they checked the area and found that two ATMs were blasted. The suspects had already vanished.

Currently it is not yet established if there was any cash money taken or not.

Police opened a case of malicious damage to properties for further investigations.
