POLOKWANE - The South African Police Service in Limpopo have launched massive manhunt for a group of armed suspects responsible for blowing up safes at Bopedi Complex in Apel policing area.
According to information, on Thursday, 09 February at around 02:00, Police were alerted about the incident and swiftly responded. While on the lookout for the suspects, police noticed a vehicle, fitting the description circulated. The suspects opened fire at the Police and police retaliated however the suspects managed to get away in two VW Polo’s, silver and blue in colour, and one white C-Class Mercedes Benz. It is alleged that a small amount of money was stolen.
A silver Audi A4 with false registration plates was recovered at the scene, one pistol and some of the stolen groceries were recovered.
