GAUTENG - On Monday, 16 January 2023 members of Ekurhuleni District Crime Intelligence's Aggravated Robbery Team and Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department's (EMPD) task team arrested a 30-year-old man in Boksburg following a pointing of a firearm incident.

According to a preliminary report police operationalised information on the suspect and proceeded to the identified address. A search subsequently led to the recovery of two imitation firearms and ammunition.

Police also recovered a vehicle found in possession of the suspect as the said vehicle was allegedly used during the commission of the crime.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Boksburg Magistrates' court soon.
