Police bust two suspects with more than 200 mandrax tablets

PIXLEY KA SEME – Two suspects, aged 20 and 23, are expected to appear in the Victoria West Magistrate’s Court today on charges of possession of suspected mandrax tablets.

The suspects were arrested on Wednesday, 09 March 2022 in Church Street, Victoria West. The Victoria West police acted swiftly, upon receiving a tip-off regarding two male suspects who were in possession of mandrax, destined to be delivered in Loxton.

The suspects were found in possession of more than 200 units of mandrax tablets. A total of 200 units of mandrax were found in possession of the 23-yrear-old suspect and 14 mandrax tablets were found in possession of the 20 year-old suspect.  The District Commander of Pixley Ka Seme, Brigadier Nomana Adonis commended police officers who were involved in the arrest of the suspects, including community members of Victoria West for exposing criminal activities in their community.
