JACOBSDAL – Four men will be facing charges of business robbery after being arrested for their alleged involvement in a robbery.
On Saturday, 19 November 2022 at about 20:00, the petrol attendant and cashier at the local filling station in Jacobsdal were on duty when they were overpowered by unknown armed men who robbed the shop of cash. Two shots were fired, and luckily nobody was injured.
The station commander immediately activated a team to investigate the incident. Within days, all the suspects that were allegedly involved in the robbery were arrested in Kimberley and are behind bars.
The team led by the Station Commander of Jacobsdal, consisting of members of Jacobsdal and Petrusburg, TRT, POP, and Crime Intelligence, together with private security, worked around the clock to bring these perpetrators to justice. They also confiscated the vehicle that was allegedly used during the commission of this crime.
The suspects, aged between 25 and 41 will be appearing in the Jacobsdal Magistrate Court tomorrow, 24 November.
