Police in Kabega Park have recovered stolen goods with an estimated value of R 55 000-00 and arrested a 34-year-old male suspect last night just after 21:00 in Kuyga.
This followed after police operationalized information and proceeded to a house in Nzotoyi Street, Kuyga where various suspected stolen goods, including cellphones, power tools, laptops, a TV set and an edge trimmer were recovered.
A complainant in a previous housebreaking case in Kuyga earlier this month, identified some of the items, however, most of the items are yet to be claimed by the lawful owners. The 34-year-old male suspect was arrested on charges of possession of suspected stolen goods and will be appearing before the Gqeberha Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 30 September 2021.
Kabega Park police are urging complainants in house breaking cases to visit the station and to bring with proof of ownership of the items to identify their property.
