LULEKANI – The South African Police Service in Lulekani represented by the Communication Officer and Mopani District Men For Change Deputy Chairperson, Sergeant Ntsako Reoh Mabunda concluded October month on a high note by strengthening partnership policing with congregations.
This follows an efficacious visit by the members of SAPS at Radical Faith Army of church in the Lulekani policing precinct under the leadership of Pastor Andy.
Sergeant Ntsako Reoh was accompanied by Lulekani SAPS Crime Prevention member Sergeant Tsakani Nekhavhambe, Women’s Network Treasurer and OPAM Coordinator Sergeant Yvonne Chauke together with Community Policing Forum Executive Chairperson and Mopani District Secretary General Mr Doctor Ngobeni.
Sergeant Mabunda was given a slot where His speech aimed at the hearts of the congregation. During His speech, He sensitized the congregation about:
* Spike robberies along the N1 route.
* Sexual offences.
* Gender Based Violence (GBV).
* Children’s Rights.
* Domestic Violence (DV).
* Community Based Structures.
* Public Violence and illegal mining.
Youth were also warned to desist from taking part in any Criminal activities and further encouraged them to take the issue of education very seriously and also to respect their parents and elders.
In conclusion, contact details of the police Management, Community Service Center (CSC) including safety tips to prevent burglary and theft cases were also shared to the congregation.
