Partnership policing leads to the swift recovery of an abandoned hijacked vehicle in Geluksdal

GAUTENG – A hijacked vehicle was recovered by police in Ekurhuleni on Saturday, 19 March 2022 in Geluksdal hours after it had been stolen in Woodmead, Sandton.

According to a preliminary report the vehicle was hijacked in Woodmead earlier today and police were alerted to be on the lookout for the vehicle. Netstar was also notified and tracked the signal to a location in Geluksdal where it was left abandoned.

Station Commander of SAPS Tsakane, Colonel Mbatha commended the members for swiftly recovering the vehicle and that the detectives will leave no stone unturned in tracing the suspects.
