LIMPOPO – Members of the police in the Capricorn District led by Senwabarwana Station Commander, Colonel Betty Mongalo in conjunction with Malipsdrift Station Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mokoena visited Methodist church in Ga-Mathabatha on Saturday, 29 October 2022.
Other sister departments including the District’s Men For Change, represented by Warrant Officer Valerie Maloba and Capricorn District’s Women’s Network representatives.
Lieutenant Colonel Mokoena took it to the stage to sensitize the congregation about the role of Women’s Network in the fight against the scourge of Gender Based Violence (GBV). She encouraged everyone present to take part in the prevention of social challenges that are faced by members of the society on daily basis.” We really need everybody to deal with this challenges and help each other to win against this life obstacles”
The team further advised the church on the following issues:
*Reporting cases – The congregation was advised to open cases of abuse, domestic Violence and Gender Based Violence and Femicide.
*Partnership policing – The team advised on partnership policing whereby they encouraged everyone to be part of Community Based Structures that helps curb crime in the community.
