QUEENSTOWN - Operation Vala Konke continue making an impact in the Chris Hani district as members continuous actions close in on criminals and their illegal activities.

Special operations were conducted on Friday 24 February from 18:00 until Saturday 25 February 2023. A total of 13 suspects were arrested for various crimes ranging from drunken driving, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, pointing of a firearm as well as for drunk and disorderly behaviour.

During these proactive policing operations, several dangerous weapons such as knives were also confiscated.

All the arrested suspects will appear in Queenstown magistrate court on Monday 27 February 2023. Those arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour were issued with a fine.
