Operation restore seize drugs during intelligence driven operations

Police members of Operation Restore deployed in the Western Cape to quell ongoing gang violence in the province conducted intelligence driven operations on Thursday, 31 August 2023.

The platoon deployed in Lingelethu-West policing precinct proceeded to an address in Delft. They approached an address in Belele Street, Leiden where the members searched the premises and found a consignment of heroin with an estimated street value of R10 000-00. They arrested and detained a 42-year-old suspect on a charge of possession of drugs.

Once charged the suspect is expected to make their respective court appearances in Mitchells Plain Magistrates’ court on the mentioned charge.
