Operation Restore arrests wanted suspect with drugs in Bothasig

An intelligence driven operation during the early hours of this morning led to the arrest of a 30-year-old suspect in Bothasig who is also sought for various serious and violent crimes in the province. Members of Operation Restore reacted on information and conducted a search at a residence in Nassau Street in Bothasig where the male suspect and two females aged 21 and 28 were caught in possession of tik and mandrax with a combined value of R90 000-00. The male suspect is also wanted on a string of crimes ranging from business robbery, murder, attempted murder, assault, and possession of an unlicensed firearms and ammunition. His identity can only be revealed once he has made a court appearance, which is scheduled for Monday morning in Bellville, together with the two female suspects.

The circumstances surrounding the arrest of the wanted suspect are still under investigation and he is in the process of being charged for his crime spree.
