QUEENSTOWN – On Friday evening, 26 November 2021, members from Queenstown Operational Command Centre, Queenstown SAPS, Ncgobo SAPS and Queenstown Women’s Network engaged in an operation in the policing area of Ncgobo.
The focus area was high visibility, policing of liquor outlets, closing of shebeens, raiding of drug posts, stop and search operations and enforcement of the Disaster Management Act.
Successes
A 41-year-old female was fined R1000-00 for dealing in dagga and selling of liquor without a licence.

13 x cases of Black Label,
24 x 440 ml Strongbow Redberrys,
24 x 440 ml Strongbow Apple,
9 x 750 ml Black Label,
12 x 750 ml Old Buck Gin,
5 x 1L Chibuku.

Cash confiscated: R340-00.
A 39-year -old male was arrested for dealing in drugs after found in possession of:
26 x straws of Tik,
1 x sachet 2g of Tik,
1 x sachets 1g of Tik,
4 x Full Boss Mandrax tablets.
Value: R2500-00
Cash confiscated: R150-00.
A 25-year-old male was arrested for dealing in drugs after found in possession of 1 x full Boss Mandrax tablet and 1 x quarter Boss Mandrax tablet.
Value: R50-00
A 34-year-old was arrested for Possession of drugs after found in possession of 91 x straws of Tik.
Weight: 10.2 grams
Value: R4550.00
A 20 year old male was arrested for Dealing in drugs after found in Possession of 14 x straws of Tik.
Weight: 4 grams
Value: R700-00.
The Acting District Commissioner Brigadier Magqashela commended Colonel Ngalo and his team for the arrests made and illicit drugs confiscates.
