EASTERN CAPE – The retiring Provincial Head for Visible Policing, Brigadier Malibongwe Ntsabo welcomed foot soldiers from different angles of the Province, who arrived in East London to execute Operation Gijima Tsotsi.
He shared some knowledge and experience relating to Operation Gijima Tsotsi with dedicated young lions who were determined to clean streets of Buffalo City Metro.
“Operation Gijima Tsotsi is in my heart, and it has yielded positive and impressing results in the Eastern Cape Province since its introduction in 2019. It was introduced to focus on reducing all contact crimes, as there was incredible increase in crime at the time. This operation was aggressively conducted by all station commanders at hotspot areas. The fruits of Operation Gijima Tsotsi have impressed Eastern Cape Senior Management, led by Lieutenant General Ntshinga,” he explained
Brigadier Ntsabo further encouraged young lions to take ownership of this operational concept to ensure safety and security of citizens. “I call upon and challenge you young lions, future leaders to take ownership of Operation Gijima Tsotsi to proactively deal with criminality in this Province. You have all the intelligence, potential and energy to deal with criminals,”- he said.
After the motivation by the retiring Provincial Head, foot soldiers started to clean streets of Buffalo City Metro. And they are registering impressing results.
