As part of observing the month of August (Women’s Month), women in SAPS in the Western Cape with others in law enforcement embarked on a three day programme. The programme started on Wednesday and is scheduled to finish on Friday.

 

Roadblocks, VCPs and motivational talks are part of the programme. Divisional Commissioner for PM, Lt General Ntshiea, Deputy National Head DPCI, Lt General LC Mosikili, Divisional Head, Crime Intelligence, Lt General Matakata, Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lt General Patekile and other senior SAPS officials were in attendance.

 

On Thursday roadblocks were held in Thembalethu and along the N2. The roadblocks were preceded by a parade at the George cluster office.

 

Other partners in the programme are Gift of the Givers. Women’s Network and Men for Change.
