One man died and three other people were injured when the vehicle they were traveling in overturned at Mahahe village in the Kavango West Region on Tuesday.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, the police in the region said in its daily crime report issued Wednesday.
According to the report, the driver of the vehicle was trying to avoid colliding with cattle standing in the road when he lost control of the vehicle.
The report further stated that the vehicle was coming from Katima Mulilo, heading to Windhoek when it overturned at Mahahe village.
A culpable homicide case was opened by the police at the Mururani Police Station.
The deceased has been identified as Muhako Kakove and his next of kin have been informed.
Meanwhile, the three injured people were taken to the Rundu State Hospital.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
