The drug trade in Oliphantshoek was dealt a blow on Thursday, 08 August 2024, after police arrested one (1) suspect and seized dagga with an estimated street value of R 10 000.00.
Members from Visible Policing, D Shift, were conducting crime prevention operations in Diepkloof, Oliphantshoek, when they received information from community members regarding drugs being sold in the area.
The members operationalised the information, and upon arrival at the identified premises, a male suspect was found, and a search was conducted after permission was granted by the suspect.
The 42-year-old male suspect was arrested after suspected illegal drugs were found in his possession.
